This beautiful site is located in the Acomayo Province of Cusco, Peru with an altitude approximately 13,500 ft. It was built in the Pre-Incan era by the Qanchi. It was believed to serve as a fortress, sacred site and an astronomical observatory.

This sacred site is also known as the "Gate of the Gods". The legend states that an Incan Priest was in possession of a golden disk and he placed it in a small depression in the center niche of the rock and this allowed the door to open.
